Reset User Password Through Agent

Sean Blankenship
Currently the "Reset User Password" link shows for all user entities in HelloID regardless of whether they are "local" accounts. This link causes some confusion as it implies that their AD password is reset using that functionality. Can this link be hidden for non-local accounts? And additionally, it would offer some convenient management for users if admins could use that link for AD-agent based users to push a new password back into the domain.

Sean Blankenship in which configuration you see the link to reset your password other than the local account login?
Mike Sheldon
Rick van den Dijssel: Rick, if you have AD Sync setup and then go to Directory > Users. You will see that AD Users sync'ed to HelloID have the "Reset Password" link

Mike Sheldon: Ah thanks I was searching in the end user screens. But this complicates the request.

Rick van den Dijssel: If having the password reset be functional in that manner isn't possible I think that simply removing that link from non-local accounts would be sufficient to prevent confusion on the client's end.

Sean Blankenship: Removing the link from non local accounts isn't possible, however as a workaround you can create a new admin role and just uncheck the reset password option.

Wim Bronswijk: Perhaps the better long term solution is this? https://helloid.canny.io/access-management/p/password-change-event
