Disable notifications for Employee that has passed away

A client indicates they don't want to receive any offboarding notifications regarding an employee who has passed away.
For now, we can use custom events to prevent notifications from being sent based on a certain attribute, but an option to disable notifications with for example a switch in the person overview would be useful in this case.

Thank you for posting, Melvin van Zomeren! I have a few more questions for you:
- What specific attributes should trigger the disabling of notifications for a deceased employee?
- Are there any other scenarios where disabling notifications would be beneficial?
- How should the system handle notifications that have already been sent before the employee's status is updated?

Rick van den Dijssel Hi Rick, Thanks for the quick reply.
- Right now, we are looking into getting an attribute from the source system that we can map and use in a custom event for the targetsystem in question to check of that attribute gets a value to decide of the notification should be sent or not. Within HelloID itself it would be nice to have a built-in attribute/switch on a person that we can easily be set and that is internally checked to determine if notifications should be sent. I can imagine that getting a generic attribute from a source system for this can be difficult as there are multiple types of source system. Therefore a manual check would be best.
- A different scenario for this could be when an employee who gets a summary dismissal, where they are requested to immediately leave their assets and the premises. I could imagine that any notifications directed to them or their manager are no longer desired or required.
- I would assume that HelloID can't revoke any already sent notifications. If we can however mitigate any further notifications that would ofcourse be desired. There should also be a process at the client internally or in coorperation with us to ensure the atribute/switch is set before the enddate update for the deceased employee triggers the leaver processes and notifications.
