File Picker

Update: Due to the high risk and the anticipated high effort, this feature is unlikely to be included in HelloID, at least not in the short to medium term. Alternatively, there may be local solutions where the file is placed on a share and subsequently read and used via a PowerShell data source.

CSV Upload in delegated forms
R

A customer wants to upload csv files in delegated form as a source for a grid for example. That way it would be easier to add users in bulk to one or more selected groups.

Update: no changes in the current state.

Status update: moved from planned "longterm" to Open due to high effort and security risks. We will monitor the votes and feedback

This is something we would like to have available in HelloID as its always been a pain within UMRA for the end users having to fill in the UNC path in a text input field.

planned
Planned for long term. This means we will evaluate the request in about 6 months.

Rick van den Dijssel: Is it possible to move this forward in the planning. The only option at this moment is to let the user supply a UNC path to the input file location which means even a location where the end user has no permission to access could be given. Letting the user select a file from a location which they can access is much safer.

Phil Buckley: At this moment we don't have plans to add this feature on the roadmap because of the high effort and security risks (on our side).
Maybe you can use a data source to (dynamically) get a list of files or locations to be presented in a grid? Therefore the end user does not need to manually a enter a path

Michiel van der Veeken: Thanks for the quick response. I like your idea of using a data source and will set that up when we are so far with the implementation of HelloID.
