This feature will introduce approve and deny actions to the Recertification Request Overview, allowing the logged-in user to directly approve or deny the presented recertification requests.

Note: this feature is part of the milestone "Recertification" and requires the HelloID Governance module license. The current recertification insights overview and details pages provide security officers with valuable information about self-service product assignments covered by system or custom campaigns. With the introduction of the "Recertification Request Overview," we are taking the first step toward enabling users to approve or deny these requests based on the current logged-in user. This feature will initially be scoped to: Custom campaigns Recertification request overview (without approve/deny actions) Since the approve and deny actions are not yet implemented, this feature will remain behind a feature flag until these functionalities are added.

Over time, we've seen a significant decline in the use of end-user dashboard notifications. Despite this, the feature continues to heavily impact our databases and HelloID's overall performance. As a result, we will deprecate the feature in the HelloID 2024.12 release, which will disable the creation of new end-user dashboard notifications. The feature will be fully removed in the HelloID 2025.03 release. The end-user notifications are configured in the HelloID admin portal and are shown on the end-user dashboard. For dynamic forms in Service Automation, we use various types of data sources: native, static, task, and PowerShell data sources. Among these options, the PowerShell data source is the most versatile. It offers native PowerShell support for data exchange and sending email, audit, and log messages. Additionally, the processing of a PowerShell data source is faster than that of a task data source, enabling quicker access to the desired data in your form. We also have an extensive catalog of useful code snippets. Best of all, this type of data source can run not only locally but also from the cloud without a locally installed Agent. However, maintaining both task and PowerShell data sources costs us unnecessary time and does not provide you, our customers, with any additional benefits. Therefore, we have decided to gradually phase out task data sources. We will do this in a way that ensures minimal impact. What does the timeline look like? August 2024: New tenants can no longer create task data sources. Existing tenants can still create and modify them. October 2024: Existing tenants can no longer create new task data sources but can still modify existing ones. January 2025: We will perform an automatic migration where all task data sources will be converted to PowerShell data sources. From that moment on, task data sources will no longer be available. What do I need to do as a customer? PowerShell data sources use the local Service Automation agent and not the Directory Agent as task data sources do. Ensure that the local Service Automation agent is active and has a service account with the correct permissions before the January 2025 release (2025.01 release). With these steps, we ensure a smooth transition to PowerShell data sources, allowing you to continue benefiting from our dynamic forms. Do you have any questions or need assistance?
